Trolleybus 59 + Metro A / Uber or Bolt

Prague's airport has no metro or train, so the budget route is trolleybus 59 (which replaced bus 119 in 2024) to Nádraží Veleslavín → Metro Line A (~15 min to the centre) — buy an inexpensive 90-minute integrated ticket and validate it. The AE bus runs direct to the Main Train Station (separate ticket). For door-to-door, use Uber or Bolt (Bolt often cheaper) or the official “Uber Airport” (cars queue at Terminal 1, PIN system). Do not take a taxi from the rank or anyone soliciting in arrivals — Prague's tourist-taxi overcharging is notorious.

Local Tips

  • Never take a taxi from the rank or a driver who approaches you in arrivals — Prague's tourist-taxi overcharging is well documented. Use Uber, Bolt, or the official “Uber Airport” (queues in front of T1, PIN system), or pre-book a transfer.
