Where to start
Nankai (Rapi:t) for Namba / JR Haruka for Osaka Station & Kyoto

KIX is on an island ~40–50 km from Osaka, and the train is best for almost everyone — but pick your railway by destination: Nankai (red signage) for Namba (the fast Rapi:t ~34–40 min, or the cheaper Airport Express), and JR (blue signage) for Osaka Station/Shin-Osaka/Kyoto (the Haruka limited express, ~45–50 min to Osaka/Shin-Osaka; free with a JR pass). The Airport Limousine Bus is the easy option with heavy luggage (direct hotel-area drops, suitcases stored). Taxis are expensive (far island + tolls). Terminal 2 (low-cost) has no train station — take the free shuttle to Terminal 1 first.

  • Last trains run ~22:00–23:00 — after that, use a night limousine bus, a taxi, or a pre-booked transfer.
