Pickup Guidance

Rideshare

Pickup depends on terminal. T4: curbside at Arrivals Zone B (effective December 30, 2025) — follow the in-app pin and signage. T5 and T7: take the free AirTrain to Howard Beach station, where the rideshare lot is adjacent (temporarily relocated during construction). T1 and T8: curbside still permitted — follow "Ride App Pick Up" signs. Order your ride only once you reach the pickup lot.

Taxi

Official rank outside each terminal's arrivals. Look for the green "Taxi" sign with uniformed dispatchers. The meter must read "Rate #2 – JFK Airport."

Shuttle

Shared shuttle vans (GO Airlink NYC) are available at designated areas outside each terminal.

Transit

AirTrain connects all terminals to Jamaica (for E/J/Z subway trains, LIRR) and Howard Beach (A train). Total trip to Midtown Manhattan is approximately 60–75 minutes.

Private Transfer

Pre-booked black car services drop and pick up at terminal frontages (most terminals). Meet-and-greet drivers typically wait at baggage claim with a sign — useful for late-night arrivals when you don't want to navigate the shuttle/AirTrain to remote rideshare lots.
