Local Tips

  • Always insist on the taxi meter. If a driver refuses, walk away and take another.
  • Bus 19 connects RAK to central Marrakech (Jemaa el-Fnaa) in ~30 min — far more affordable than a taxi.
  • NO Uber in Morocco — InDriver and Careem (limited) work, otherwise Grand Taxi or pre-booked transfer.
  • Always confirm Grand Taxi fare in advance — meter rarely used.
  • Careem operates in Morocco at RAK — usually fairer than non-metered grand taxi negotiations.
