Rideshare

Uber, Cabify, and Bolt operate in Barcelona, but with restrictions — Uber sometimes runs as a premium tier only, while Cabify and FREE NOW are often more reliable. Pickup zones at T1 and T2 can shift, so verify in-app.

Taxi

Official taxis are black-and-yellow only. At Terminal 1 the rank is on Floor 0 (ground level) opposite arrivals; at Terminal 2 it's opposite arrivals at T2A/B/C. Flat-rate zone fares to central Barcelona apply (set by the metropolitan area), plus small luggage and airport supplements.

Shuttle

The Aerobús express coach runs to Plaça de Catalunya in ~35 min, every 5–10 min — A1 from Terminal 1, A2 from Terminal 2 (blue Aerobús signs outside arrivals), with dedicated luggage racks. Shared hotel transfers also available.

Transit

Rodalies R2 Nord runs from T2 only to Barcelona Sants/Passeig de Gràcia in ~20 min (T1 passengers take the free 24-hour inter-terminal shuttle to T2 first). Metro L9 Sud serves both terminals but needs a special airport supplement ticket — a regular T-casual won't work — and is slower to the centre via a transfer. Pickpocketing on L9 is among the worst in Europe; keep bags in front of you.
